Today Marks the Day

Today is bittersweet. Saying farewell to hubby and Elijah as they head north to begin clearing our property.  I am excited as we begin the next steps in our journey.

We went through the lists and made sure they have everything they will need.

Best part is, i am heading up for my family reunion next weekend,  and back soon after.  The Gerber boys will likely remain until end of August until they can get the drive way in and excavation started for our new home! Back south for a wedding and hubby has promised to complete some work for family, then back north hoping our building permit will be approved by then.

The Bernt Gilberston Bridge

This will be a bridge that we will be crossing many times in the coming months. As we begin the development of our property in Northern Ontario. Many changes are in store for our family, we are so excited to get started. This is the #BerntGilbertson Bridge that connects the Island to the mainland. We will soon be making this a regular route in our everyday life!

Heading to our little #Hideout in the North this weekend. To layout our future home. Hoping the snow is gone ðŸ˜‚ no its not this green at the moment. Which is why we want to see it this time of year Photo was taken the day we closed on the property. Aug 31, 2018.

My vehicle is sitting at the halfway mark of our property.

Our Flag was still there

Got to love it when family checks out your property and lets you know that everything's okay. Our Canadian flag still stands.

When we purchased the property it was owned by a resident in Michigan and we wanted to make it Canadian again :)
